Welcome to Gower House School Online

Gower House is a long established independent school for boys and girls aged between about 2 ½ to 11 years. Early morning and afterschool care are available. The school was founded in 1951 as an educational, teaching nursery and has grown and expanded ever since.

Today, the Under Five Dept. follows the Foundation Stage, while the main school has an enviable record for preparing children for transfer to secondary school at age eleven, with numerous scholarships and admissions gained over successive years to competitive entrance independent schools and selective state grammar schools.

Gower House seeks to develop each child’s potential to the full, both academically, personally and socially. Our children are taught to be enquiring but well mannered and polite.

French is taught from the age of four, as are computer studies. Specialist games teaching begins at five and all children swim regularly from the age of six.
